Where do the proceeds for The PrayFit Run go?

100% of the proceeds will benefit kids affected by special needs from the Conejo Valley at Calvary Community Church.

 

When & Where do I get my race packet and bib?

Packet pick-up will be on Friday, May 5th, 2023 from 4pm-7pm at Calvary Community Church, West Lake Village 5495 Via Rocas, Westlake Village, Ca.‍Note: You will be able to pick up your race packet and bib on the morning of the event starting at 6am at Calvary, however, please consider registering early at Friday’s pre-race packet pick-up opportunity.

 

Can I pick up someone else's packet or bib?

No, you must show ID and sign your own waiver.

 

When should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 1 hour before your event to give yourself time to park, get settled and make your way to the start.

 

Is My Race Timed?

Only the 5K and 10K are timed with official results.

 

What is Chip Timing?

Your Timing Device for this event is a disposable ChronoTrack B-Tag which is affixed to the back of your bib number. In order to receive an accurate time, please make sure your bib is clearly visible on the front of the torso, unaltered and unmodified, pinned in all four corners and not covered by jackets, runner belts, water bottles, etc. Please do not fold or wrinkle. Spectrum Sports will be timing this event.

 

Is there a place to leave gear and keys?

Yes, there will be a protected area to leave your belongings.

 

Where can I use the restroom?

We will have restrooms on-site for participants

 

What happens if it rains?

The race will go on rain or shine. However, if there is severe weather or dangerous conditions that threaten participants, guests, or volunteers, we reserve the right to cancel the race without refunds to ensure your safety.

 

Can I bring my pet?

Due to the size and nature of the event, pets (with the exception of service animals) are not allowed.

 

Is there a post-race party?

Yes. Post-race festivities are on the main lawn, so please bring your entire family and enjoy.

 

How can I find my race results?

The race results will be automatically emailed to your registered email as soon as they are available.

 

Are headphones allowed?

The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race.

 

How does the VIRTUAL race work?

The virtual participants are as close to the action as possible. By signing up, you get assigned a bib number and you're automatically sent your medal and t-shirt to arrive the day of the race. It's not mandatory, but if you would post a pic of you and your medal following your run or walk, we would be so grateful. Use hashtag #prayfitrun2023 NOTE: THERE ARE NO REFUNDS or TRANSFERS OF BIBS TO OTHER ATHLETES.

 

Is my registration TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

For the race ticket, no. However, donations directly to the ministry? YES. PrayFit is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We'll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.

 

Can I represent PrayFit at my local 5K, 10K or Marathon?

YES. You can represent Team PrayFit in your hometown and fundraise while you run ANY race of your choice. You can create your own fundraiser that WE WILL PROMOTE with you. Your friends and family can support your cause while you run your race.

 

Can I run virtually if I can’t be there in person?

YES. The virtual participants are as close to the action as possible. By signing up, you get assigned a bib number and you're automatically sent your medal and t-shirt to arrive the day of the race. It's not mandatory, but if you would post a pic of you and your medal following your run or walk, we would be so grateful. Use hashtag #prayfitrun2023

 

What if I want to join another fundraising team instead?

That’s a great idea. After you register for the race, simply go to the START A FUNDRAISER button and click the option JOIN A TEAM. If you know the team you want to join, click it and you’re off to the fundraising races.

 

Once I register, how do I start a fundraiser?

Once you register for the race (either the 1 mile, the 5K, the 10K or the virtual elements) you will receive an email confirmation. In that email, you will see a link that says Start Your Fundraiser. Click that link and away you go. If for any reason, you can’t find that email, you can simply to to prayfit.org and click on start a fundraiser. Select the PrayFit Run, give your fundraiser a name and you’re good to go.

 

Can you register for the race without starting a fundraiser?

YES. You can simply purchase a ticket for any of the race options. No obligation to fundraise.

 

Can you fundraise without actually registering for the race?

YES. You can start a fundraiser OR join an existing fundraiser and share the link with friends and family. You don’t have to participate in the run activities to help us raise funds.

 

If I start a fundraiser, does it automatically enroll me for the race?

NO. If you start a fundraiser or join a fundraising team, you are not automatically entered into the list of participants. You have to register for the race to get a t-shirt and a medal.

 

If I run virtually, when will I get my t-shirt and medal?

You will receive your t-shirt and medal on or before the day of the race along with your goodie bag.
